You may think you need a lice vacuum but what you are really looking for is the AirAllé® lice device.
Each week we take calls from stressed parents looking for a service that uses a vacuum for head lice removal or asking if they can use a blow dryer to treat their kids for lice. Understandably so, the AirAllé® does look like a cross between a vacuum and a hair dryer, of which of course, it is neither.

The temperature controlled device, with a patented one time use recyclable tip, actually blows controlled heated air across the scalp at just the right temperature to dehydrate lice and a whopping 99.2% of nits (eggs). This device is the only treatment on the market that is able to penetrate lice eggs and kill the developing embryo inside. In short, the AirAllé® does not suck up the lice and eggs like a vacuum. It is also more sophisticated than a blow dryer. We advise callers to be careful not to confuse our clinically tried and true device with a vacuum or a blow dryer which could burn the scalp.
After killing the lice and eggs by dehydration, we do remove the debris. We don’t vacuum them out though!
